You can do several moves when you’re stuck in a car but make sure that you’re alert when on the road.
For the neck, you can do the head protraction exercise. By imitating the double chin tuck, look forward and make sure you’re not tilting your head downwards. You can also do the ear-to shoulder stretch. With your head looking forward, tilt your head to the side so your ear reaches the shoulder without using your shoulders to close the gap. The ‘armpit sniffing’ move is another great stretch to relax your neck and shoulders. Look to the side and pull your head down as if you are sniffing your armpit. To relax the wrist and forearm, extend one arm straight in front of the shoulder, rotate the wrist inwards and outwards . Don’t forget to keep the other hand on the steering. And for the shoulder, place your left arm across your body and using your right arm, push your left arm towards your body. You can perform the exercises with a 5 seconds hold for each exercise. Repeat 6 times.
