It has taken a High Court ruling against the Executive, and the DUP and Sinn Fein in particular; to force them to focus on an Anti-Poverty Strategy, based on objective need, almost ten years after they committed to it in the St Andrews Agreement. Child poverty, fuel poverty and the poverty of the working poor all continue to increase.
