Dear Dad and Mom,
I wish I could see the happiness on both of your faces when I was born. The words 'our dream' on the first page of the album which beautifully captures my childhood days says it all. You both have been constantly there with me throughout all phases of my life; when I learned to stand on my feet, trying to balance myself and walk holding your hands to be a grownup, trying to manage things on my own…
Time flew away with days, months and years. Now that I am becoming an adult, where I am expected to come out of my comfort zone and manage things on my own, I have realized the care, love and secure feelings which I have got from you both; this I can't get it from anywhere else…
Now when I look back.... many things just flash into my mind...
It was the first day of my preschool. Dad, you came with me to drop me to the school. When the teacher took me from your hands, I was crying saying I don't want to go. To make me feel better you said you'll be there, waiting outside till I come back and buy me an ice cream. While going to the classroom with my teacher, I was turning back and checking whether you were there or not and you were smiling at me and nodding, gesturing that you will be there till I return.
First day of school was fun with many other kids, chocolates, crayons, color books, games and all but in between, I was curious thinking whether you were there outside or gone. When I came out of the classroom, walking through the corridor searching for you, I found you waiting for me at the same place. I was so happy to see you and came running towards you. Looking at me you smiled, took me up in your arms, kissed me on my cheeks and went to buy me ice cream as you promised.
