We need to be aware about our body – be it our diet or overall well-being. Eat better to live better!
The body is saying: I feel so often that, I shouldn't eat while I'm stressed or watching television or having an argument while eating.
Stress is saying: Who bothers about all this. When I am 50 years old, I will start following all these in my life.
Sooner or later: In the long run, when we keep doing this, the person may not be aware of the quantity he is consuming, and he may eat more or sometimes less than what is required. While viewing TV or during a luncheon business discussion, we are not paying attention to the food we eat. Hence, the body is confused in terms of releasing the right enzymes for digestion. When there is no harmony, there is disharmony at the superficial and deeper level. Therefore, one should eat with total attention towards eating and enjoy all the different tastes of the food. There is an old phrase - 'shatam vihaya bhoktavyam' - meaning leave your hundred types of jobs while eating. This simple shift in our day at all meal times can bring about an enormous difference to our health.
The body is saying: The stomach is full, but the pastry is too tasty. If I end up eating a little more, I may eat to the point of breathlessness.
The greedy mind is saying: One mouthful at a time, just another one. It's okay, let's manage by exercising a little extra tomorrow.
