Eating is one of the greatest joys in life. Don't deprive yourself of this pleasurable act. Eat healthy, eat tasty food…
We all love going out for dinner parties, meeting our friends for a luncheon and even attempting random outings by exploring new eating joints. But what makes us explore new cuisines? It is certainly not solely for health and nutrition – otherwise we would all be eating salads, lentils and soups every day.
Every kid and adult want to know before going for a wedding or any other occasion - “How will the food be?” And so often, after every such occasion, the topic of discussion is food and the taste factor. The discussion and memories about food are limitless. Taste is something which is very intimate to us from our childhood and stays with us till the day we die. So, food not only nourishes the body, rather it nourishes something very deep within us. Though eating may seem to be a very simple, every day routine, the impact it has on us is at a very deep level.
In a country like India, food is an experience. And the basic quality of food is taste. Taste remains with us lifelong. Though nutrition and cost are important factors in food selection, taste always triumphs. This is how it has always been, and this is how it will always be. When hot jilebis are cooked, we associate memories and link it with people we love or events we cherish. In the same way, eating spicy, piping hot pakodas during the rains is evocative; we link the act with memories of our emotional connect with people and those who love the same food and we intensify the taste so much more.
