Cobra’s new Aerojet drivers look dramatically different yet retain and build on many of the design and performance attributes that made the LTDx series a critical success. Aerojet delivers new levels of speed and distance through advanced aerodynamic shaping, PWR-Bridge weighting, and PWRShell with H.O.T. Face Technologies.
Debuting a bold new aerodynamic shape – the Aerojet LS, Aerojet, and Aerojet MAX deliver faster clubhead and ball speed. Having worked with Bryson DeChambeau and Kyle Berkshire, two of the fastest swings on the planet, Cobra developed an understanding of the relationship between aerodynamics and speed.
The AeroJet’s streamlined shaping have been inspired by the wings of an airplane. Face edges have been softened, the back skirt raised and there’s more curvature to the crown, creating a driver with even lower drag than the previous LTDx line. The aerodynamics have been progressively applied to all three new AeroJet driver models, resulting in slightly different shaping appropriate for each target player.
The Aerojet LS driver features the most aggressive aero shape of the three models to reduce drag significantly during the swing. When tested against the LTDx LS, the Aerojet LS delivered up to 1.5mph faster more clubhead speed during robot testing. The Aerojet and Aerojet MAX , while still striving for the fastest clubhead speed possible, strike a balance between aerodynamic shaping and the forgiveness properties that are critical for the amateur golfer.
