Lured by the recreation of a quintessentially Tuscan charm in India, wine lovers are heading to Nashik for a staycation at The Source at Sula.
I looked up as the stars shined down at me. There it was. Just at the right moment. The blink of an eye and I would have missed it. The thing about city life is that organic pleasures in life are lean. Having never seen a shooting star in my life, at this very second, I was ecstatic. Away from the lights and noise of the town, I was at The Source at Sula, my abode for three days where I had the liberty to live at my own pace.
I had arrived at the wine capital of India in the morning with a preconceived notion that it couldn’t be as good as the vineyards of Cape Town that claimed a piece of me while I was there. Momentarily lost in that thought, I climbed out of the car. Glass in hand, check-in followed and a moment to let the architecture take shape. Ahead, and beyond the reception area was a picture of Tuscan charm. A vision of cobbled courtyard and sandy Firenze yellows that instantly slowed my pace. It might have been the bubbles.
