With 4½mm needles and Ivory, cast on 42 (46) (50) (54) sts. K 5 rows. Change to 5mm needles.Beginning with a k row, work in ss until back measures 23 (25) (28) (31) cm from beginning, ending with a wrong side row.

Shape shoulders: Next 2 rows: K to last 4 sts, wrap1, turn, p to last 4 sts, wrap1,turn. 

Next 2 rows: K to last 8 sts, wrap1, turn,p to last 8 sts, wrap1, turn.

Next 2 rows: K to last 12 (13) (14) (15) sts, wrap1, turn, p to last 12 (13) (14) (15) sts, wrap1, turn.

Cast offloosely 18 (20) (22) (24) sts at centre, leaving 12 (13) (14) (15) sts at each side on spare needles.

Front

Change to 5mm needles.

Beginning with a k row, work in ss until front is 24 (26) (28) (30) rows less than back to shoulder shaping, ending with a p row..

Next row: K to end.

Next row: P18 (20) (22) (24), k6, p18 (20) (22) (24).

Divide for neck opening: Next row:

K21 (23) (25) (27), turn and work on these sts for left front neck.

Left half front: Next row: K3, p to end. 

Next row: K to end.Repeat last 2 rows, 4 (5) (6) (7) times more, then work the first of these rows again.

Shape neck: Next row: K16 (17) (18) (19), turn, leaving remaining 5 (6) (7) (8) sts on a safety pin. Next row: P to end. 

Next row: K to last 2 sts, skpo. Repeat last 2 rows, 3 times more – 12 (13) (14) (15) sts. P 1 row. Shape shoulder: 

Next row: K to end. Next 2 rows: P to last 4 sts, wrap1, turn, k to end. Next 2 rows: P to last 8 sts, wrap1, turn, k to end. P 1 row.
