Only the first film in Kevin Costner’s planned four-movie series has been released

MULEHEADED Kevin Costner is begging superstar filmmaker Steven Spielberg to help salvage his disastrous Horizon movie franchise after sinking millions of his own money into it only to see it savaged by critics and all but ignored by the public, say sources.

“Kevin has no shortage of enemies in Hollywood, and his drama at Yellowstone proves he can still be as prickly as ever,” spills an insider. “But after decades in the business, he’s also picked up some powerful allies and fans — and one of those is Steven Spielberg.”

According to our mole, the 78-year-old Hollywood mogul admires Costner’s gumption in following his dream to make his epic, four-film Civil War–era series a reality.
