Adishree Singh, the intelligent and dynamic daughter of renowned politician Ajatshatru Singh and his entrepreneur-philanthropist wife, Ritu Singh of Jammu & Kashmir, cuts quite an impressive figure. Hailing from the esteemed royal family of Jammu & Kashmir (her paternal grandfather is none other than Dr Karan Singh, the titular Maharaja), Adishree doesn’t seem to take her inherited legacy and privilege for granted. In addition to her role in running the family home, Hari Niwas Palace, as a successful hotel in Jammu, and being a trustee on her grandfather’s Karan Singh Foundation, Adishree is also making waves with her innovative research and design laboratory, Reformary. Together with her business partner, Akshat Dhawan, they are dedicated to cultivating sustainable materials for homes in India, aiming to replace harmful alternatives currently in use.
In a relaxed chat with HELLO!, Adishree opens up about her childhood, her deep-rooted love for nature, and how her environment and family have profoundly influenced her journey.

But it’s also exposed me to this idea of understanding what my own legacy could be potentially be, you know? My brother and I spent our summers in Kashmir and winters in Jammu — my dad was a cabinet minister from ’96 to 2002, so a lot of our time was spent in our home town, but we got to explore some beautiful, untouched locations. That’s really where my love for nature began…
