THIAN RODRIGUEZ
“My brand’s ideology is that we believe that fashion is for all regardless of color, gender, and status,” says Thian Rodriguez, whose eponymous brand has been making waves in leatherwear. “Everybody deserves to experience fashion and we are allowed to be whatever we want to be. My designs are inspired by brave and independent women who aren’t afraid to express themselves—women who embrace their flaws and realize that their imperfections make them totally perfect. And that is THIAN Rodriguez Manila’s staple aesthetic—to make everyone feel their best and most powerful.”
The brand has been taking flight with its intricate and edgy designs incorporating metal detailing. Just recently, the homegrown brand’s 2023 collection also graced the runway of BYS Fashion Week.
“My vision for the local fashion industry is global, but still rooted in our heritage,” Rodriguez says, hopeful and at the same time, challenged. “Marrying modern innovation and traditional techniques that are true to our culture makes Philippine fashion authentic.”
