INGREDIENTS

1 cup besan (gram flour)

1 cup yogurt (preferably sour)

2 cups water

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp ginger-green chili paste Salt to taste

1 tbsp oil

1 tsp mustard seeds A pinch of asafoetida (hing) 10-12 curry leaves

1 tbsp sesame seeds Fresh coriander leaves for garnish Grated coconut for garnish (optional)
