AFTER a gruelling royal tour, the King has taken mantras into his own hands and enjoyed a blissful break at a yoga and wellness retreat in India.
On their way back from Australia and Samoa, the 75-year-old monarch and Queen Camilla took time out for a relaxing three-day stopover in India at an exclusive spa resort called Soukya, it has been revealed.
The 30-acre pampering paradise offers holistic medicines - a form of healing involving body, mind, spirit and emotions and a chance for an early night following a long flight back from the South Pacific.
Camilla, 77, loves the place so much that she has been there eight times and she treated Charles to a stay there for his 71st birthday.
The King has long been known to have an interest in alternative medicine and has said previously how much he enjoys yoga.
The royal couple enjoyed morning yoga sessions followed by breakfast and rejuvenation treatments before a healthy vegetarian lunch and later meditation before bedtime at 9pm.
