POP superstar Jennifer Lopez has hit back at Donald Trump over comments branding Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage".
Lopez, whose family is Puerto Rican, criticised the joke made at a Trump rally on Sunday.
And as she joined Kamala Harris on stage in Las Vegas, she urged the crowd to back the Democrat candidate in the "monumental" US election on Tuesday.
Of the "garbage" quip about Puerto Rico, a US territory in the Caribbean, Lopez said: "It wasn't just Puerto Ricans that were offended that day. It was every Latino in this country. It was humanity and anyone of decent character.
"You can't even spell American without Rican. This is our country, too." Urging locals to vote in the crucial swing state, Lopez added: "Right now, we are on the brink of an election that demands a choice.
"A choice between backwards and forwards, a choice between the past and the future, a choice between divided and united.
