A SCOTS tourist who was believed to be missing in Poland by his frantic family has been traced after a week-long search.Sam Kennedy, from Clydebank, near Glasgow, was last seen at his hotel in the Polish city of Krakow on June 28.The 20-year-old was due to board a flight back to Glasgow last week but he didn't return home.His worried family launched a public appeal to help locate him, which sparked a multi-nation search.Police in Poland told the Record the young Scot has been traced after leaving the country.Sam's sister Robyn Kennedy shared the news.She said: "Sam has contacted us and we now know he is safe and well."The police are now happy to close the inquiry.Thank you everybody who put time and effort into helping us find him."We would appreciate some privacy as a family now. Thank you." A spokesperson for the Polish National Police said: "The police have not received a report regarding the missing person."The Interpol office in Great Britain has asked to check the whereabouts of the person."Based on the activities carried out, it was determined that the indicated person had left Poland, of which the British side was informed." Police Scotland has also been approached for comment.
