The day Jesus rode into Jerusalem was a triumphant one. He came in as a humble King, and the crowd was enthusiastic about his reign.
They wholeheartedly accepted him as their King and demonstrated their Enthusiasm.
They cried out, "Hosanna to the Son of David; blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest."
They tore down palm branches and waved them.
They even made a welcoming carpet on the road with their coats.
They were probably called "fanatics" by the religious establishment and curious onlookers.
You know, it is essential to keep our Enthusiasm for Christ alive. I believe some of those same folk who shouted "Hosanna" shouted "Crucify Him" five days later.
Many of us today have lost our Enthusiasm for Christ.
When we accepted Jesus as our Savior, I believe most of us did so enthusiastically.
