TUCHEL'S THREE LIONS REBOOT MUST INCLUDE A NEW VISION FOR KANE
The Sunday Mirror|October 20, 2024
WHATEVER your take on a German being appointed as manager of England's national football team, Thomas Tuchel is in position, so it is time to look forward.
TUCHEL'S THREE LIONS REBOOT MUST INCLUDE A NEW VISION FOR KANE

Well, thanks to the ludicrous agreement that he will not start work until January 1, he is not quite in position, but you would like to think he is already working on his masterplan.

And when he does finally get behind his desk at Wembley suspect he won't be a St because you George's Park kind of guy what will he find in his in-tray? There is already talk that he might not be as keen on Jordan Pickford as Gareth Southgate was, but one bad game against Greece - in a system that seemed to baffle the entire squad - should not be a serious threat to the Everton keeper's status as England's No.1.

In tactical terms, Tuchel is often described as "adaptable", which, to be fair, is what all elite coaches should be.
