The company is known for games encouraging logic, such as Decrypto, Stay Cool, Zombie Kidz: Evolution, and the 2022 breakout hit, Turing Machine. Scorpion Masqué games have been published in over 40 countries and 20 languages.
From Cards to Computers
According to Studio Director Manuel Sanchez and Marketing Director Joëlle Bouhnik, most of Scorpion Masqué's early games, such as 2006's J'te Gage Que (I Betcha), were card-based games, keeping the product easy to print, package, store, and ship.
Joëlle says Scorpion Masqué prides itself on being unique and inventive while avoiding "onehour rule reading games."
It's a strategy that works. Five of their games sold over 200,000 copies each to worldwide gamers. The Zombie Kidz series, including Zombie Teenz, is the best-selling game to date, with over 600,000 units sold. Zombie Kidz: Evolution's gameplay is similar to 2013's Zombie Kidz. However, it introduces the concept of legacy gaming to younger players. As players get better through playing more, their characters develop or evolve. In future plays, the players can then access new materials, more complex challenges, and unlock new powers. Flashback: Zombie Kidz brings the mechanics of Flashback to the Zombie Kidz universe. Thanks to trinkets in the box, players will find entirely new ways to fight school zombies every time they play.
