Redmi Buds 5C
Not quite. the Redmi Buds 5C offers solid value, though a few hiccups prevent it from being flawless.
COMPACT DESIGN WITH A FEW MISSES
The Redmi Buds 5C shines in the design department with its compact, square-shaped charging case that fits easily in your hand. It's available in three colours, Acoustic Black, Bass White, and Symphony Blue, offering a modern aesthetic for any style preference. I tested the Symphony Blue variant, and it didn't disappoint in the looks department.
However, the case lacks a visible battery indicator, forcing users to check battery levels via the Xiaomi Earbuds app. This can be inconvenient, especially since pairing the buds with an iPhone offers even less information. The case features a Type-C charging port and a simple pairing button, keeping things functional, though not innovative.
EASY PAIRING AND STRONG CONNECTIVITY
Thanks to Google Fast Pair, pairing the Redmi Buds 5C is a breeze. Once initially set up, the buds automatically connect when the case is opened. I tested them with Android and iOS devices, and the connection was consistently quick and reliable.
IMPRESSIVE SOUND WITH VERSATILE PROFILES
The Redmi Buds 5C truly shines in audio quality. Equipped with 12.4mm dynamic titanium drivers, the buds deliver crisp, clear sound with deep bass. The active noise cancellation is particularly effective, especially in noisy environments like public transport or busy offices. There are three ANC modes - Noise Cancellation, Transparency, and Off - that allow users to adapt to their surroundings easily.
