What could be a cosy, relaxing game falls short thanks to bugs and unintuitive gameplay

GETTING LOST IN THE GARDEN PATH

The Garden Path

I love the cosy-game genre, so when The Garden Path showed up on Steam, I was delighted by its hand-drawn art style and relaxing premise.

Meant to be played in short bouts of around 30 minutes, The Garden Path sees you become the custodian of a large garden in the wilderness. Here, you can study and grow plants, meet interesting characters and explore.

Game days mirror real time, so a day in the game is a day in real life. In fact, depending on what time you play, you may be greeted by a daytime, evening, or night-time garden.
