THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF SUSSEX
In November 2017, it was announced that Charles and Diana’s younger son Prince Harry, now 39, was engaged to American actor Meghan Markle. The following May, they wed in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in a ceremony that was viewed by 1.9 billion people worldwide. However, in the couple’s Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan they revealed that they also secretly exchanged vows three days before in a back garden ceremony. The wedding itself was a star-studded event, with the likes of Serena Williams and David and Victoria Beckham in attendance, while Idris Elba later served as their DJ and Sir Elton John – who was a close friend of Princess Diana – sang at their wedding breakfast.
Meghan, now 42, was the picture of elegance as she wore a timeless Givenchy gown and Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara.
