Just a couple of years ago, one girl student committed suicide, as she got just 6 marks in the medical entrance examination. Later when her brother checked her OMR sheet in the portal, it transpired that she had actually scored 590 marks! Had she not taken that hasty decision, today her family would have been very happy that their child would become a doctor, a few years since then.
Recently in another incident, one engineering student in her final semester, ended her life, as she was not selected by one company, in the campus hiring. It is really unfortunate that the youngsters are so much tensed about their studies and career that they resort to ending their lives, without thinking about the trauma which their family would face, in their untimely departure.
Everyone faces failures in their lives, in one way or the other. Failing in some examinations, scoring less than expected marks, not getting a job, missing out on promotion in the profession, failure in love, rift in marriage, quarrels between friends and family, being cheated financially or in some other way, life is full of such shocks and disappointments.
In such situations, instead of making a hasty decision, it is always advisable to remain calm. One should always remember that there is always a solution for any of the problems faced by us.
"If you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere," the renowned American speaker Frank Clark had observed. To put it in other words, if we want to succeed in life, we must earn it. No one gives it to us on a platter of gold. If there is no barrier or dam to the rushing water, it would have flowed into the sea.
