Relaxin&rsquo; in the Northwest &ldquo;The Awakening&rdquo; was held at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem, Oregon. Hosted by Relaxed Atmosphere and sponsored by Monster Energy Drinks, this year was the biggest turnout to date. It was also the one with the most anticipation shown by the participants on the months leading up to it. Friday, as the campground started to fill up, we took a stroll around the campgrounds to get a preview of what trucks would be parked in the show field on Saturday morning. We also got the opportunity to catch up with old friends while we watched some of the trucks cruise by in the cool Oregon evening.<img src="https://magarticles.magzter.com/articles/6050/396737/5e201b2e1c2b2/1579162396254.jpg"" owidth=710 oheight=461" style="height:461px; width:710px" />Saturday morning the showgrounds quickly filled up with custom trucks and it made us walk for hours and hours snapping pictures of some of the finest the Pacific Northwest has to offer as well as neighboring states like Idaho, Nevada and California. The judges had their work cut out for them choosing the Top 75 and several Best Of categories. There were plenty of cool activities for the show participants while the show was going on, including a very competitive game of beer pong hosted by Hammered Weekend Wear and a hot sauce eating challenge. Pinstriping by Dan was on hand laying stripes all weekend as well as painting and striping the custom pedal car that won the award for Best of Show.
