CURRENTLY, THE FITNESS revolution has reached an all time high. Goa has several new gyms popping up. Only a select few really stand out though, for their dedication to their goals. Fitness Zone, run by Colleen and George Sequeira, has been around since 2008, and was started to inspire people to live fit and active lives.

Their story started way back in college, which is where this power couple met. After over a decade in the hospitality industry, they were keen on getting into business, especially George. The two of them contemplated several options, including starting up their own restaurant! In the end, their passion for sports and fitness won, leading to the formation of their brand – Fitness Zone.

Located in Caranzalem, the duo currently own two gyms. Fitness Zone Club, which is located at the Adwalpalkar Shelter opposite Kamat Classic 4, offers members a more personalised experience, with custom programmes. These programmes range from weight loss, body toning, muscle building to a transformation package. For those with more experience, there is the cardio package, and the functional training package.

The dynamic movement training using battle rope training is yet another regime only available at this gym, which challenges your cardiovascular, muscular and neural systems at the same time.

Fitness Zone Studio is their second gym, located at Lar Asiena Society, near HDFC Bank in Caranzalem. This gym provides a straightforward, pure workout experience, focusing on the cardio package and functional training package.
