André Beauregard – Canus
SHE Canada Magazine|Issue 5 2018

Customer service is always important and, in this case, it was life-changing. He listened to his client and didn’t just hear a request, but rather he saw potential for a business opportunity. That potential combined with hard work resulted in the birth of Canus, the leading fresh goat’s milk heath and beauty products company. Based on our interview with the founder, Andre Beauregard, it seems 20 year later he is just as dedicated to his customers and clients.

André Beauregard – Canus

Please tell us a bit about yourself and your business. I’m definitely a low profile businessman. I have no problem admitting I don’t know everything and I’m always seeking to learn. I surround myself with the right people and truly value my employees, suppliers and clients. I’m also an avid reader and an early riser who can often be found at the office at 5 a.m! With that kind of schedule, you would think I was a goat farmer.

When/Where did the idea to start your own company come from?

In the mid 90’s, aromatherapy was gaining popularity. I was already importing scented candles, home fragrances and incense when one day, a client asked for goat milk skincare products to match the aromatherapy products that we were supplying , which was rare and expensive at the time. I started searching and realized that there might be a business opportunity there. So we decided to investigate in the feasibility by hiring a biochemist specializing in milk and PHD specializing in saponification. After a year and half of research and development our goat’s milk skin care line was born. Now 20 years ago!

UNTTLD (Simon Belanger)
SHE Canada Magazine

UNTTLD (Simon Belanger)

Luxurious, domineering, and vibrant – three words that solidly define UNTTLD’s incredible showcase of their F/W 2018 collection at Toronto Fashion Week. Adorned with black headdresses (or hats), the models that graced Yorkville Village’s runway flaunted boldcoloured velvet dresses and boss-lady outfits. Since 2011, designer duo Simon Belanger and Jose Manuel Jacques have been creating lux pieces that reflect on masculine feminity to emphasize the capabilities and desires of the modern woman. We had the opportunity to speak to Simon shortly after the show about their one-of-a-kind collection that is truly one to reminisce.
