They combined their strengths to create a brand that offers something for every-one.

TōN Cosmetics

A brand that does not allow you to believe that a lip colour does not work well with your skin colour. Rather every colour has a shade that can work for you, it’s just a matter of understanding the skin’s undertone. That is where TN Cosmetics, a cosmetics brands that helps consumers find shades that will work best based on their skin tones comes in handy! We had a chance to ask the founders and sisters, Vicki and Maria Barillaro all about this unique service and we must say, this is definitely a brand worth checking out! Questions answered by: Maria Barillaro

Please tell us a bit about yourselves and your career backgrounds. First and foremost, we’re sisters! We share the same taste in so many things and sometimes we’re exactly on the same page as one another, but that doesn’t mean we’re similar. Vicki is the brain behind the operation. She finds a way to organize the details and take care of anything and everything when it comes to suppliers, business, etc. She has over 20 years experience in managing a business and a degree in Marketing. I’m the idea person. I’m terrible at the business part, but I focus my efforts on product development and social media marketing. I have a background in journalism. I’ve been everything from beauty editor to freelance writer – and everything in between. I’ve tested and reviewed so many products over the years that I was able to pin point exactly what it was I wanted to see on the shelves as a consumer. Together, we just made it happen.

UNTTLD (Simon Belanger)
SHE Canada Magazine

UNTTLD (Simon Belanger)

Luxurious, domineering, and vibrant – three words that solidly define UNTTLD’s incredible showcase of their F/W 2018 collection at Toronto Fashion Week. Adorned with black headdresses (or hats), the models that graced Yorkville Village’s runway flaunted boldcoloured velvet dresses and boss-lady outfits. Since 2011, designer duo Simon Belanger and Jose Manuel Jacques have been creating lux pieces that reflect on masculine feminity to emphasize the capabilities and desires of the modern woman. We had the opportunity to speak to Simon shortly after the show about their one-of-a-kind collection that is truly one to reminisce.
