ALBERT LE ROUX TRAINED BALLS-TO THE-WALL TO MAKE AN IMPACT AT THIS YEAR’S IFBB SA CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Rise Of A Champ

The 24-year-old from Randburg only wanted to make it through to the top 6 but when the dust from the battle settled on the stage he was the one who stepped into the winner’s circle as the country’s best IFBB Middleweight. Muscle Evolution caught up with Albert to find out where it all started and what lessons he learned on his way to the top.

Albert, how long have you been pounding the iron?

I am still relatively new, having only trained for six years. I knew I had to step up my game for the SA’s because I wanted to make a big impact in my first year in a senior line-up.

You did more than make a big impact – you dominated the line-up with the other competitors! How does it feel to be the current IFBB SA bodybuilding champ in the U/85kg class?
