Aliyah is a triathlete and is training to qualify for the 2018 ontario summer games.
YR: Aliyah, when did start doing triathlons and how did you choose them over just running?
I began triathlons when I was 8, and I loved them! I just love running, biking, and swimming. I can't decide which I like best so triathlons ended up being the perfect event for me!
What do you do for training?
I swim 5x a week and have 2 triathlon workouts! I started training in running and biking last year, with a triathlon coach. I've done many running races like the 3k, 5k, mud runs and triathlons over the last few years winning several gold medals, silvers, and I try to place top five. Next year is my qualifying year for the 2018 Ontario Summer Games and I really want to compete! That's a goal for me :)
