THE FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW is the largest in-water boat show in the world and is the go-to place to see every type of boat made. Exhibits range from yachtbuilders, designers and brokerage yachts to all manner of yachting equipment. A boat for every taste and budget is on display: runabouts, sportfishers, high-performance boats, center consoles, cruisers, flats boats, skiffs, sailing yachts, motoryachts, bowriders, catamarans, ski boats, jet boats, trawlers, inflatables, kayaks and extraordinary world-class superyachts. If you can’t make it to the show this year, we’ll be there for you. Here are some of the new boats and brokerage gems expected to be on hand.
230-foot (70-meter) Heesen At 229 feet 8 inches (70 meters), Galactica Super Nova is the largest Heesen built to date. She has a fast-displacement hull, fixed-pitch propellers and a Rolls-Royce center booster jet, making her capable of going 30 knots. In addition to speed, she offers space and style. The yacht’s chic profile is by Monaco-based designer Espen Øino. With nearly 3,843 square feet (357 square meters) of deck space, she presents numerous options for guest entertainment including a 19-foot-9-inch (6-meter) swim-jet infinity pool with waterfall, an outdoor cinema, a beach club, an indoor/outdoor upper deck lounge, a sundeck with barbecue and more.
227-foot (69.3-meter) Tankoa
Suerte, at 227 feet 4 inches (69.3 meters), is a Francesco Paszkowski design with interior by Margherita Casprini. The main deck includes the salon and guest accommodations, while the master suite is on the upper deck along with a panoramic salon that has a fireplace and baby grand piano. The beach club has a salon, bar, massage room, sauna and hammam, and direct access to the sea via fold-down terraces.
