Off To The Races

Off To The Races

Arguably, the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Monaco is the most prestigious motor race in the world, attracting well-heeled fans of every stripe. They arrive by air, land and sea— including, based on this photo, the toniest superyachts in the world. Among the giants at the event this past May were the 390-foot (119-meter) Blohm+Voss motor yacht A, the 468-foot (142-meter) sailing yacht A and the 511-foot (156-meter) Lürssen Dilbar. While yachts along the quays that line Port Hercules are a signature feature of Grand Prix week, it is doubtful that any of these behemoths made it close with anything other than a tender.

BAGLIETTO LAUNCHES ANDIAMO

Built for a Mexican owner, the 156-foot (47.6-meter) Andiamo is an evolution of Baglietto’s 46-meter steel and aluminum displacement model. At just under 500 gross tons, Andiamo has exterior styling by Francesco Paszkowski Design and interiors by Paszkowski and architect Margherita Casprini. Andiamo has reversed glazing of her helm station to increase visibility from the bridge, plus a garage with expanded beach club, fold-down balconies, an infinity pool and an alfresco dining area with barbecue and bar. baglietto.com
