Sitting on the sofa with our rescue cat, Clover, I smiled as I gave her lots of love and attention. It was September 2019 – a few months earlier, I’d won £1,000 on the bingo, and chose to get a new addition to the family.
I had been a member of Woman’s Own Bingo since January 2011, and one of my favourite things about the site was catching up with my chatroom friends. We’d share stories about our everyday life. I myself was married to Duncan, 43, and had three grown-up children.
We’d even chat about work, give each other tips for the bingo games and cheered each other on whenever there was a win. I’ve made so many friends.
Then, one Wednesday evening in July last year, with our dinner slowly simmering away in the background, Duncan and I decided to have a moment to ourselves.
