Hi Fred! What can you tell us about the new series of First Dates? 

We’re doing the same thing that we’ve always done. Just bringing the magic. It’s about the people that are coming, the matches and running the restaurant.

Are you still enjoying playing matchmaker? 

It is no different to what I do all day, every day [working as a maître d’], only it’s concentrated on that one element so that everybody is on the same quest, which makes it fascinating.
