She's been a stalwart of breakfast television since the 1980s, and Lorraine Kelly still loves her job as much now as when she started. When we caught up with the star over video link, she'd just finished her eponymous morning show, still looking glam from her telly appearance.
The 62-year-old tells Woman's Own, 'I'll keep on doing this until I'm 100, because I love it. Honestly, I'm so fortunate to do a job that is so interesting.'
Being in the industry for so long, Lorraine has seen it all, but the Glasgow-born presenter says she likes to challenge herself constantly.
She explains, 'As you get older it's good to have all these different voices and hear different people's points of view, it keeps you young. The world is changing, you've got to keep up with that.'
TREATMENT MISGIVINGS
Ageing isn't something the star is afraid to chat about, and while many of us feel a quiet panic about the years slipping by, Lorraine is embracing her 60s, telling us, 'It's much better than not being here, right? I actually do feel in my prime. I really do.' While many of her counterparts have sought the help of cosmetic surgery to keep themselves looking young, Lorraine confesses she won't go near the likes of injectables and facelifts.
'You look at women in their 40s, 50S, 60s and beyond and we're all looking better and taking better care of ourselves. I don't obsess about that,' the star explains. 'I won't ever have any work done because you can tell. I've done so many stories over the years when it's not worked out for people and I've just got this thing of what if things went drastically wrong. I think it's quite nice to age disgracefully. It's all right!'
