It’s the middle of July, on one of the hottest days of the year, and we’ve swathed Hannah Martin in sequins and got her posing with gigantic, ribbon-tied Christmas presents. Not that she’s complaining. “I bloomin’ love Christmas so much!” the celebrity make-up artist and best-selling author says excitedly.
It’s this reason, along with her roster of A-list clients – including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and Dame Helen Mirren – and her relatable make-up advice, that makes her an obvious person to have her very own advent calendar. This is created in association with OK! Beauty Box following the sell-out success of her one-off beauty box last year.
The Beauty Advent Calendar by Hannah Martin is filled with some of the make-up artist’s all-time favourite products, many of which you’ll recognise if you’re one of her nearly 400k Instagram followers who love her five-minute make-up tutorials and one-product smoky eye demos. It’s incredible value too, costing £100 but with the contents worth over £570.
Here, Hannah shares some of her top beauty tips and Christmas wishes…
Hi, Hannah! How does it feel to have your very own beauty advent calendar?
It feels amazing! It’s something I’ve thought about for ages, and then after my OK! Beauty Box came out last year so many people dropped into my DMs saying I should do an advent calendar. I met up with the OK! Beauty Box team, and we got the ball rolling.
How would you describe your calendar?
