A LEGEND MENTOR AND PAL

SNOOKER legend Terry Griffiths has died at the age of 77 after a battle with dementia.

The Welsh potter, the 1979 World Champion, passed away on Sunday.

He also won the Masters in 1980 and the UK Championship in 1982 to complete the sport's illustrious Triple Crown.

Terry was made an OBE in 2007 and coached the likes of Stephen Hendry and Mark Williams after hanging up his cue.
