Richard Madeley has been part of Good Morning Britain since 2017, stepping up as a regular main presenter when Piers Morgan sensationally quit in 2021. But despite previously saying, 'It's great to be back in a suit and a tie and working again, with increasing complaints from viewers and his wife Judy making it clear she prefers a quiet life away from TV, is he ready to hang up his hosting shoes?
UNHAPPY VIEWERS
Richard, 67, has always been a somewhat controversial figure and his interview technique on Good Morning Britain has brought a lot of criticism lately. Over 2,300 Ofcom complaints were received after Richard asked Layla Moran, a British-Palestinian MP, if she knew about Hamas' terror attack on Israel before it happened - which he later apologised for.
Fans were unhappy with Richard's questioning again when a journalist appeared on the show who had tragically lost 21 family members when their home was bombed in Gaza. Richard asked him, 'How close were you to your brothers? One viewer, angry with Richard's interview, wrote, Richard Madeley and his insensitive and ridiculous questions, yet again. Embarrassing! While another added, *GMB you lost me as a viewer, Richard Madeley needs help.
Get him off.* Some fans have even decided to snub the show until Richard is removed, with one commenting, "Won't be watching GMB until Richard is sacked.' Another added, 'I see GMB have still not sacked Richard Madeley, so my boycott of GMB will continue.'
