The Spectrum Seminars at IIJS 2019 covered a wide range of topics addressing various aspects of the jewellery business including many new areas and approaches that have come into focus with the evolution of technology, marketing and the retail business.

Eminent speakers were invited to be a part of the panel discussion for 13 seminars. Some of the interesting topics included GJSCI’s discussion on up skilling gems and jewellery industry, Industry Overview and How to Kickstart Cycle of Growth, What they don’t Teach you about Buyer-Seller Relationships, Bridging the Gap between Designers and Manufacturers, Tapping the Consumer at every point of their Digital Journey and more.

Unfolding the Vision

GJSCI organized a seminar to discuss the importance of skills and craftsmanship in the jewellery industry that began as a handmade endeavour. In view of the ever-changing business dynamics, upskilling of existing workforce has become an inevitable part of a company’s growth strategy. Such proactive approach would help them to remain globally competitive and keep the work force optimally motivated.

Speakers Sanjay Kothari along with Rajeev Garg, ED and CEO of GJSCI facilitated those companies that have been producing outstanding jewellery creations. Sanjay Kothari, Chairman of Gems & Jewellery Skill Council of India spoke about the importance of maintaining consistent quality of jewellery so that India remains a leader in jewellery manufacturing. “We need to give a boost to the jewellery manufacturing industry so that we can provide good quality products at attractive prices,” he said.
