You all know how much I love florals, so I just had to try one of these amazing cakes I've seen all over Instagram! To create this one, I took inspiration from my Food Network friend Molly Yeh (whose color palette is a little more subdued than mine and from blogger and cake decorator Whitney DePaoli at sugarandsparrow.com. You can customize the colors and design however you like: Try a mix of pastels or go with ombré colors, and make the flowers any size—it's totally up to you! - Ree

Vanilla Sheet Cake with Buttercream Flowers

Prep time: 1 hr, Total time: 1 hr 35 min (plus cooling), Serves: 8 to 10

CAKE

2 sticks salted butter, at room temperature, plus more for the pan

2¾ cups all-purpose flour, plus more for the pan

2½ teaspoons baking powder

¼ teaspoon kosher salt

1½ cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
