’Tis the season for holiday movies! It’s a Wonderful Life, Elf… I watch them every year. And I can’t wait for Food Network’s new releases, One Delicious Christmas (with none other than Bobby Flay) and A Gingerbread Christmas (with my buddy Duff Goldman)! Of course, any proper movie night calls for great snacks. Try this mix of savory and sweet bites: spinach-artichoke cups, pigs in a blanket and a candy-popcorn mix. Serve it all with a cheery cherry punch and let the fun begin! —Ree
White Chocolate Popcorn Mix
Prep time: 15 min
Total time: 30 min
Serves: 6 to 8
1 Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine the white chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on 50 percent power in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until mostly melted. Stir until smooth.
2 Put the popcorn in a large bowl. Drizzle with one-third of the melted white chocolate and sprinkle with one-third each of the candies and pretzels; toss well. Drizzle with another third of the white chocolate and sprinkle with another third of the candies and pretzels; toss again. Spread the mixture on the baking sheet and drizzle with the remaining white chocolate. Sprinkle with the remaining candies and pretzels. Refrigerate until the chocolate hardens, about 15 minutes. Break into clusters.
